Elizabeth Yamoah a graduate of Odoben Presby Basic “A” Junior high school completed schooling today.
The 57 year old lady was motivated by colleagues and teachers in the same school that there’s nothing impossible in this world if only you’re alive , it doesn’t matter how old you are.
Even though her peers, school mates and people in her community made fun of her, she persistently pressed on to achieved her goal through hardwork.
Auntie Lizzy – the name they used to call her at school, wants to become a nurse in future and wishes to go through senior high school after her B.E.C.E results and school placements are in.
She was a trader by profession while schooling at the same time for survival.
She has four children, but that didn’t stop her from going to school.
The headmaster of Agona Odoben Presby ‘A’ Basic school, Samuel Quaye outlined certain challenges affecting the school as well as the 57 year old lady.
He said there’s lack of ICT infrastructure and empty labs, making Elizabeth as well as other students’ struggle with the subject ICT.
She stated that education was her number 1 priority but since her father died at an early age, her chance at education was shattered.
Along the line, Elizabeth Yamoah was awarded with a Ghc 1,000 cash price after a successful completion of Junior high school.
